OBJECTIVES:
- Review the results of traditional intervention
systems available for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and Malaria
- Identify promising traditional remedies
in current use for the treatment or management of these
diseases
- Provide guidelines for the biochemical
evaluation and standardization of traditional medicinal
products and herbal remedies used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS
and Malaria
- Develop and harmonize methods and protocols
available for clinical outcome evaluation of safety and
efficacy of traditional medical treatment of these diseases.
- Establish a forum for the exchange of
ideas for research and treatment of these diseases.

Abstracts of not more than 500 words (oral/posters) should
be sent to BDCP (preferably by e-mail or disc in MS word/
Word Perfect). Abstract should contain : the title, name and
affiliation of author(s).
